Cory received his PhD in Public Affairs from Princeton University in 2023 and an MA in religion from Yale in 2018. He is a Texas lawyer and was a San Antonio police officer and an enlisted United States Army infantry soldier. He studies the U.S. military members who died in Iraq and Afghanistan and what Americans said about them after they died.
